Welcome to this and that by Kat.  My name is Kathy and I love to bake 

and craft. I didn't like to bake at one time, but when my mother who I

always thought was the best cook and baker passed away. One night in the middle of the night I got up and started baking.   I felt it was a way of grieving and feeling closer to her. I called my son the next day and said do you think anybody would want to buy maw maw's carrot cakes? He sold 7 and his friend sold 7 more. Those were 9-inch 3-layer cakes. Now I bake the 3-layer 6-inch cakes just enough for a family dessert.

​I love making crafts.  I love making unique and special one of kind gifts.

​When I first started making crafts, I wanted to do it for fun and not for a job.  I do some customized work but prefer to make unique crafts.  I have made shirts, slates, family recipe tea towels, pillows, ornaments, cups, greeting cards, Christmas cards.
